Such confusion!

What’s it all about?

In late August 2008 I became aware of growing controversy regarding Obama’s eligibility for Office.   At that time concern centered on the location of Obama’s birth, was it within the US or in a foreign country?

What exactly are the requirements?  This caused me to read and refresh my memory:

Article II,Section 1,Clause 5,Constitution of the United States

“No person except a natural born citizen,or a citizen of the United States,at the timeof the adoption of this Constitution, shall beeligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty-five years, and been fourteen Years a resident within the United States.”

This seemed pretty straight-forward, it’s meaning clear.

And therein lies the purpose of this site.  Just what does it mean?

I’ve gathered together various references, analyzed them, and from time to time post my opinion.

Welcome, and what is your opinion?
